My favorite lumber store. Open Saturdays and the staff is always friendly and helpful. They've always had what I need and the staff has been great about providing tips for anything I've been unsure about. Prices are competitive with other places in town, making it an easy choice to go out of my way to go here, since they have always been great for me
I go here often because I'm a contractor and it's 3 blocks from my house. If Lowe's or homedepot were a little closer to me or they were further away, I would never go here. Their prices are nearly double on most things and over double on everything else. That's not a facetious exaggeration, it's a fact. $20 for a sheet of OSB here, $8 at Lowe's. $5.50 for an 8ft 2x4 here, $2.58 at Lowe's. $35 for a 60in. x 36in. sheet of hardie board here, $12 at Lowe's, etc. etc... But they're very friendly and everyone there has a "small town" type of attitude. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because of their ridiculously high prices! I'm certain they can cut their prices significantly and likely increase their annual monetary income. Due to the massive influx of customers they would get. I would 100% be one of them, for much larger purchases! Right now I only go there when I NEED to make a quick run for 1 or 2 2x4's or 1 sheet of drywall. If I need anything more than that, I go to Lowe's or Homedepot. I think the local hardware store is cheaper too...
Love this local lumber store. Mike and Tony are always very helpful at the front desk. Yard guys are great to work with too. -Isaac, Morning Star Builders, LLC
