Today (1-19-24) in-between Beaver Dam and Fox Lake on HWY A around 10:30 am . I had a maroon peterbilt with a black brush guard hauling a dry tanker tailgating me for over 10 minutes not even a half car length in-between. I had my infant son with me, I was already going above the posted speed limit, and the roads were slushy, slick in spots and bumpy from the packed down drifted snow. In a no passing zone coming into the city limits of Fox Lake the driver passes me, before caking the side of my vehicle and blinding my windshield with slush I saw on the door of the semi it said "Schimt Trucking" not even 45 seconds later was the city of Fox Lake and a stop sign for the intersection of A, 33, and 68. Your driver has no regard for public safety and could have caused an accident or even killed someone by tailgating, slinging slush over a windshield and passing in a no passing zone. It's drivers like that and companies like this who allow it are the reason for gps and dash cam monitoring. I'm sure if this truck was equipted with that the driver would've thought twice, before tailgating or passing in a no passing zone. Sit down with your drivers and make them aware of safety.
There's no other responses to the poor driving reviews so I doubt I'll see one but if I do I'm sure there's going to be a reply of " there's no record of our trucks in that area" or " safety is our biggest concern" but in reality nothing is going to be done about this foolish careless driver and so be it when he causes an accident or unfortunately a death it'll be on the company.
Well I just started driving truck and I always had talked to the drivers when they would come in at my old place I worked at. So when the opportunity came to get my CDL I applied their and everyone from the owners to office personnel the other drivers and the mechanics are all very nice and very helpful. Could not ask for another great company to work for in my work history.
